2008 Spring Gobbler in 10 minutes

Post by BigBird-VA »

Here's my 2008 season condensed to 10 minutes to fit YouTubes time limit. A few stills from past years but the video was all this spring.

I was really worried about hunting this year. I was in a club that was loaded with turkeys. We lost the lease and I had to join another in a hurry. Things didn't work out there because it was primarily a dog hunting (chase deer with hounds) club. They didn't like my anti-dog comments published elsewhere so they dreamed up a reason to boot me- right before spring gobbler. A friend bought some land and asked me to help with the food plots and all for permission to hunt. So I've got this 6 acre field in the middle of several hundred acres and a lot of the birds head there. He only owns 70 acres but it's the hot spot of the place. Guess everything happens for the best.

Nice footage BB. I watched Statue Gobblers before , enjoyed it also. I noticed the chicks half way through the shot COOL. They disappear. I Love the outdoors.

They're all worked up by the dog chasing survey going on. Hope they fix the problems but that's another thread.

Always sad to see spring gobbler end. I had so much work this year I only got Saturdays, since we can't hunt Sundays, and a very few weekdays.

Lots of ticks this year. Hope they're gone by fall.
