Turkey season over now what?

Post by dschnarr »

Now that turkey season is over what is everyone going to do? I'll be groundhog hunting, fishing , target shooting and coyote hunting.

I need to get back to work.. I pretty much took all of turkey season off work and now it's time to get back on the horse. Fortunately my work this summer will be about 80% predator hunting.
Fishing too, and I will be up to my eyelids in renovations. It is going to be a busy summer, lot's to get done before deer season starts.

I will get married on June 7. Go away for a week. Do some iron work on the weekends. Make a couple treestands. Fish here and there. Maybe some camping. Hang some stands. Make a baby. Save for a house. Try to drum up some business to save for the house. Anyone in need of some iron work????Wonder where all the free time has gone.

You think the free time is gone now wait until you get married and have children!
My wife had the day of relaxation for me planned something like:
haul compost for her flowers - mow lawn - trim weeds - grill lunch........ and the rest will just have to wait, I'm going fishing! (Have to teach them not to expect too much  )

I run about a dozen trail cameras all summer on mineral licks. It allows me to get out in the woods check the cams, scout for big bucks for fall hunting season. I normally know the areas I will be hunting come fall from my summer scouting. Bad thing is ticks are bad and today I walked up on my 2 rattle snake in my last 3 trips to check my cams  .

Cottage season! Work, work, work, campfire, booze! LOL!
Going to work on gaining more confidence with my recurve hunting. Probably do lots more stump shooting.

Continue shooting those pesky targets in my back yard . Can't seem to run em off.

Spend as many weekends as I can at our little cabin. Gravitate from shady spot to shady spot. Bobber fish off the deck. Read some books. Spoil my two grandbabies.
