O/T Once more out of the mouths of babes

Post by Digger » Tue Jun 24, 2008 5:52 pm

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Richard, the 11 year old
next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.
Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong? He replied,
'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error?
What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Richard grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'
'No,' I replied. 'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'
So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T.

And I used to like the little crap.

Doug, that's hilarious! I hope you whacked the little bugger with your crutch!

Still laughing at this one
But I think I might have it beat! In my eyes anyway!
I have two daughters one 6 one 9 and I love to rough house with both of them. While goofing off with my 6 year old I taught her to flex her bicep and point with that hand and say "the beach is that way" from a recent popular movie. Well when she went home to my ex wife who lives WAY TOO CLOSE she repeated it and didn't quite get the grammer the same. She told her mother that her daddy taught her (as she is flexing her muscle and pointing) the "Bi*** lives that way"!!! Needless to say the EX did not see near the humor in it that I did

When I was working in IT we used to say it was a PEBKAC problem.
("Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair").
