FALL TURKEY

Post by BOB VANDRISH » Thu Jun 26, 2008 9:58 am

It looks like there will be fall turkey hunting in some WMU's this fall.
Anyone know whay they are not holding any turkey seminars in the remainder of the year?
How do you get qualified to hunt them if there arent any seminars?

Doug,I have not been keeping abreast of Ontario Turkey seasons, and was under the impression this was going to be the first fall hunt.
I started hunting them this spring down in PA where they have both spring and fall seasons.
You do not need to take any special training down there,as the tag is part of your hunting license that includes deer, bear and turkey, both spring and fall.
If I read your comments correctly, does that mean that I will have to wait until next spring to take a course?

When I went to the Ministry site a few days ago,it directed me to the OFAH site, and at that time,it did not show anything other than the spring seminars.
Thanks to Bait Pile Willie, the info he posted shows that they do have them.
I will be registering shortly!
Thanks for the help.
Bob.

If they had the same program down there in PA, a lot would not have got shot during the turkey hunt

I'm not getting it... :? Does this mean that i need to take another course for the fall hunt even though I'm already a "spring" turkey hunter?
