Excals got 1st [Smokepole Hall] and 2nd [moi] at the Sooner games 3-D last month. Long drive for 20 shots, lol, but it was fun and for the cause. We got the medals in the mail today, but no over all results, so we don't know how many actually entered it. Xbows had just became legal for over 60 shortly before the match and the range where it was held was formerly no xbow, so a presense was needed. Didn't know this at the time we went, btw, but it's a little more frosting on the cake, lol. A gentleman has invited us back for the Winter matches in Feb 09 so they can try to get their medals back into Ok, lol. At least the ticks will be dead then, we got covered in them.
as usual i had my work cut out for me having to shoot against awshucks. he is very good, honestly he gets tired in the heat. it takes a toll on him. in cool weather it will be a much closer match of that i am sure. he sits in his workshop and shoots outside at 3/4 targets practicing most everyday.
