Holy Crap - Have a look at this MOOSE!!!!!

Post by MasterCaster »

Have a look at who moved in with my friends horses.

Its been there for a week - I suspect moma gave her the boot when she calfed and now she is looking for company - horses will do I guess.

The horses are even grooming her.

She will walk right up to within 5 feet of ya.

Well my buddy and I returned to his house tonight, we were petting the horses and the moose just had to get some for herself. I can't believe this, I thought yesterdays pics were crazy have a look at this.

My wife recognizes the guy with the goatee. She can't think of his name. Can you fill her in?

Very cool!!! Not too many people can say they've pet a moose! And have photographic proof!!!!

My wife's name is Leeann Gracie from Onaping. She grew up on Misit Ave. near the ski hill. She kind of thought your name was Kevin but wasn't sure.

Where did you guys take the pics?

We took the pics at my buddies house just outside of Dowling. Any further disclosure would have every yahoo in the area with a cow tag hunting at the end of his drivway this fall - LOL

It's wonderfull, amazing, pleasing, yet also terribly sad. She can't be adopted as a pet or a domestic animal, and sad to say, she has lost her fear of humans. She will now be completely vulnerable to hunters.

Unless a wild animal can be removed from the wild and permanently protected in a domestic setting, showing kindness and affection unfortunately is a cruel thing. She has made friends with those kind folks. They will probably be deeply saddened by what will happen to her.

Van Dyke ?? I don't get it dude - LOL Explain

The moose still hasent left - and we are a bit bothered by its lack of fear - we have decided to keep an eye on it - perhaps somthjing is wrong. I have noticed a bit of bleeding on its hind quarters from all the flies chewing on its rump. Its probably under a bit of stress. They could use a tail like a horse.

I suspect its the calf that wintered with its mom on his property. He seen them weekly but now the momn is gone and the young cow has decided to stay.
