July is winding down ... heading into August ...

Post by R.J. »

Heading home from work on some back roads on Saturday , a heavy wind and thunder storm blew a tree down across the road ...

Image

An older gentleman pulled up as well ... got out , and asked me if I would help him shift the tree enough that he could pass !  I said " No thanks .. if you touch that tree , I'll be doing CPR and you will surley pass ! "

He said he figured the Hydro was out and there wouldn't be any risk ... I wasn't going to try and find out !

Image

I called the local Police ... they came out and blocked the way until the Hydro crew arrived to sort things out ..

Image

When I backed down the road ... I saw two fawns on the other side of a small outcrop just a ways from the downed tree ... one fawn gulped down some beans plants , while her brother stood looking back at the crowd ...

Image

Sunday I drove around to check a few other spots ... got permission to take pictures of this young buck on a local farm ... cool to see what stage the velvet is at going into August ...
