Bear Hides???

Post by Camper »

I'm looking to get a couple of bear hides done into rugs (Hopefully if we shoot them)

Just wanted to know of some good places to check out for this in eastern ontario?

What kind of prices should I be looking at?

Try Advanced Taxidermy and Wildlife Design.
They are located at 3630 King Street, which is just east of Hwy 10,and north of Brampton.(Caledon)
Call them at 416-614-7320,or toll free at 888-691-1216.
Best work I have ever seen anywhere.
No idea on costs.

Ditto!!! That's where I got my bear rug done. Excellent job!! They even did some repairs free of charge, and the damage was my own fault!!!

I also have a raccoon from them, and I am waiting on a hawk mount.

The animals in their showroom are from every corner of the planet. Cape Buffalo are huge!!! I love walking around the showroom and seeing all the different critters.

I think I paid $1100-$1200 for both the rug and having the skull done. Well worth it. Especially with what I went through to get the bear!!

Call them and ask them what you should do, as far as keeping the hide in ideal shape, so they can do their job if you shoot a bear. I've heard some horror stories!!!
