The fraying was caused by the bone spurs. The Doctor removed the spurs (all three) ugly looking buggers, and ended up with a collection in the bottom of a 6 to 8 oz. drink cup! I am quit sore now but I will be hunting in October w/xbow.

I thank everyone who offered encourgement.
If anyone else is thinking of this surgery, my Doctor told me IF I have a 100% tear, I would have abount three months to fix it. After that point the "tendon" wants to coil up and hide. At that point it is ALMOST impossible to repair. Don't wait that long.
