Geese can be very agressive (as I found out the hard way) when they feel threatened. And it seem that sometimes they feel threatened just by the sight of another animal (including man). I made the mistake of trying to scare off a small flock by shooting a pistol into the ground in front of them as they approached me one time. After that experience I decided there is no shame in running when you're outnumbered and overmatched.

That long neck is there for a purpose: to serve as a handle when dunking in hot water prior to plucking the feathers.

Yes, I would think so.

I has happened to me once. My dog often walked around dreaming not noticing the surroundings. Once she walked strait into a bunch of geese by a local pond, which attacked her. She got totally surprised and started to bit in the air to protect herself. As I thought it would look bad if she killed one of them I tried to go between, but the geese were mad. They bite quite had and hit even harder with their wings. When they finally retreeted I had just changed my mind to survival and was thinking of starting to kill them one by one just to get away, but luckily they retreeted in time....

He had more patience that me. My dog would have also been much less forgiving. Actually, my dog may have been confused. It doesn't normally work that way.

I watched the video and said the same as Duck Hunt "its whats for dinner " They can be very aggressive . After the 2nd or 3rd go I would have set my dog on the goose. Then we would see who would want to stay in the boat  .
