O/T Any Geocachers here?

Post by Skarek »

I just wonder if anyone on this forum is intoGeocaching?
geocaching.com wrote:Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
It is really fun and I think it is a marvelous reason to get out in the world instead of sitting home infront of my tv. If anyone is intrested this is my profile.

I'll actually be doing a bit in the Tobermory area next week :) .

I don't do a lot of geocaching on a regular basis but I do find that when I'm on vacation it gets me into a lot of really neat places that I would never have seen otherwise.

I've also discovered some great access to public hunting lands while looking for caches.

Check it out at www.geocaching.com

containers are hidden by individuals or groups,, it all depends on the purpose of the cache....

There are some short info on Wikipedia to:

Nice to see that there are some cachers out there. Maybe I should arrange a Travel bug to be sent to the states with a mission to get home
