Hello. I'm one of the newbies, in Colonial Beach, VA. It's still raining on and off. The wind's about 18 to 20 mph, which is typical here for us on the river. If it doesn't quit soon, I'll need a boat to get to my hunting stand once the season begins. I'm glad I can be part of this bow hunting forum. This is the Colonial Beach weather broadcast as I see it.

Lots and lots of wind here ... some in the 50 mph range ... limbs down, some small trees. Never lost power. Rain missed us ... eye of storm went west of us, big outer rain bands stayed east of us.
We've got that windblown look ... but we're none the worse for wear.
We've been through so many storms that this one was a breeze ... literally!

I was gonna say the same... this wasnt even a bad storm. We got lucky though since most of the rain came down west of richmond(6-10inches). We were so close to the eye that we missed all the heavy rain and just got a good soaking. The bulk of the rain and wind was on the east and west sides which missed us by 50+ milesGrizzly Adam wrote:
