I left to go out of town on the day Digger passed away, and just got back to hear about this shocking news just now.
Of all the guys on this forum,I had more dealings with Doug than anyone.
One of the nicest guys you will ever meet and he will be sorely missed on this site.
My sincerest sympathies to the entire family.

Chrysty, My condolences to you and your family.

I am truly shock to hear the sad news. I've had the pleasure of meeting and getting together with Doug on several occasions. Whether it was at 3D shoots, meeting for lunch at BassPro, or hunting with Doug at Aaron's "Devil Edge's" farm, it was always a pleasure to be in his company.

It was the very first time that I met Doug for coffee and dounuts that I realized what a true gentlemen and trusting soul he was. Without hesitation he offered to let me try his Arizona EZ Fletcher, before I had to decide if I wanted to buy it.

I still do not want to believe that Doug has passed. I do know that I'll never forget him, as I considered him a friend.

He'll be in my prayers.

Christy I am truely sorry to hear about Doug. I have personally met him a few times and have always thought of Doug as an upstanding guy. When I was told of his passing I felt like I had been run over by a truck. I have read every posting above and they all show what a man he was.

I know that Doug will be missed here greatly, his wisdom, knowledge and great wit, but your loss is much greater. My prayers will be for your family to help you through your tough times.

Doug I will miss you and your knowledge and our PM's back and forth. I know that your now in a better place, I hope that your able to get together with Mikey V and a few other notable past forum members and do what you liked to do best............ talk crossbows and hunting. ....... God Bless Your Family
