Another new toy( Hoyt Vectrix)

Post by crazyfarmer »

I want to get back into compound hunting some this year and some of my stands have trees way to close to shoot the xbow from. So ive been looking for a good compound. I love hoyt and how smooth they shoot. I always liked the Vectrix since it came out in 07 but just the bow was 700bucks. So no go there... anyhow, my bro in law bought a parker Legend XP which is a good shooting bow. So that really got me into the compound mood again. Well, searching ebay I found a Vectrix for 320bucks.. yes, thats right. The guy had 0 feedback which is why no one would buy the bow. This bow was also fully loaded with a NAP 360 rest, Xtreme Sight, quiver, release, and GT arrows. Well over 1k in value. Well i debated the samething.. no feedback.. iffy seller? Well he gave me his number and I talked to him for a few days. By then I was more than comfortable with him and the deal. The bow had only been shot 50times roughly. Well, i went ahead and paid with paypal monday... got the darn thing today! He shipped is 2 day mail from Ohio! Its MINT and nothing wrong with it. This guy had 0 feedback and ended up being the best seller I had bought from on ebay. So those scared of 0 feedback, remember everyone has to start somewhere. Right now I have a 1000-1200 dollar invested Hoyt for only 320bucks;) It shoots like a dream and chronos 313fps at 70pounds and 29inch draw! She's rated for 316

i find it strange that some ranges wont let xbows shoot there cause they are to fast.. my exocet 200 only shot 290's with the 420grain bolts. This is well above that. So if a range tells you your xbow is to fast, just let them know its compounds shooting 310-330 out there.

ill post a pic later but this was a heck of a deal  :D

Mike P... im waiting for your quote now:)

Living up to your user name, eh, CF? Too close for 350 FPS, but, just fine for 313 FPS . . .I guess you needed that line for a blessing from the Mrs? I would have done the same thing.

Nice bow! Equally nice arrows, good job.

Be ready to whack a big one in a couple weeks, right?

Season starts here in Georgia Saturday, but, I haven't been out to the property since last year. . .I'll probably get the biggest buck in the world! I'll keep telling myself that till Saturday.

Don't get me started.....

I haven't had my bow long and I want another new one already.

I was gonna buy a couple, but then hit a hole and had to toss some money other ways... :(

Tempting again though!

My bow is actually faster than my crossbow was.

already took the nap 360 rest off. I had to much trouble with the offset vanes hitting the brushes on the rest. Right now I borrowed a buddies drop tine whisker biscuit which shoots dang good, but its loud on draw. Thinking of trying to get the QAD drop away, but money money LOL.

grunt: nice bow also.. isnt that bow in the 300's fps wise?

TYE: come on and join the crowd;)

sumner: I try and do the name proud

with both of these bows, I should be able to hunt any stand... muahahahahahaa

This is just soooo funny. When you said you were done for the year buying new hunting gear I thought to myself "Yeah, like that is gonna happen!"

No need bringing up the quote, everyone knows it by now.

I was most impressed with the quick thinking however by turning the bow sideways.

I also displayed some fancy footwork just this past week when my wife saw a bill for my new Pentax 10x50 DCF ED Binoculars. I told her I had invested in some optics. She assumed that meant I bought stock in the company. Hey, I wasn't lying, for what I paid for those rascals it had to be worth a few shares.

Crazy, better start now getting that Christmas list together.
