Got Lucky II

Post by awshucks »

Had talked to Danny Miller when I sent the trashed Y25 to him. Had exchanged a few pm's w/ Bill T, who generously offered to sharpen his pencil and get me a Y25 LH stock for a very reasonable price. Kudos to Bill for even caring.

Talked to Danny today, but was short on time. That 8 yr old kid I've been mentoring who is now 9, has turned into the Godzilla of the 3rd grade and we had a conference scheduled at his school.

This is an amazing story, so bear w/ me. I was expecting to get a new rail and stirrup, use my salvaged riser and limbs and pay the cost. What I found out from Danny is Bill T had given him the best deal he could, Danny had shaved some more $ off that and a new Y25 LH is on it's way to me.

I asked Danny what I owed him, as we had bantered some figures around when I called him after limping back to the house from mishap.

He told me "nothing". Some one[s] had picked up the difference. My friend[s], he said. He wouldn't tell me more, and I wouldn't ask.

I knew y'all were curious how this was going to play out for me.

So, for Excal and Bill T, Danny Miller, unknown friend[s], THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I had thought replacing # 997 wouldn't be as special as it was to me. I was wrong.

I can't really put how I feel in words, so this will have to do.

Absolutely amazing. :D
I have a sneaky suspicion who helped out, after all you have given on this board and many others with your insight and experience I am happy to hear some of it is making it's way back to you.
I can only hope your body heals as fast as your bow issues. :D
