I was up to Algonquin Park yesterday with my Aunt from England. And she really wanted to see a Moose. So we are driving down highway 60 when we go around a bend And I catch a glimpse of a Moose in the trees along a swamp. It is a young Bull and ready to play. I pull the car up around the bend and head down with everyones camera and start to call to him. And man was he responsive. The traffic was lite and he could clearly hear my calling. And he was coming straight to me. I manged to get him to about 70 yards before he turned and went back to wear he came from. But by then I had about 25 tourists sitting beside me saying to call to him and bring him back. I said I wish it was that easy. I am sure If 10 cars did not stop and people started to pour out that he would have come closer. Well I was glad my Aunt got to see the Moose because she is 80 now and will not be back to Canada for any more visits.

I think he was on a casual walk and munch. When we drove by I could only see his hind quarter sticking out of the far side in the trees. And then When I got out and called to him he came over to take a look. It was fun too see him respond so well. I could just imagine myself sitting there with my Max in hand waiting for him to get a little closer. I see now why guys bowhunt these things.fdegurse wrote:Was he on a trail or just on a casual walk and munch?
