249 nay

This will be on every bowsite state forum. These guys will go to any length to further their agenda. There's a stick bow guy in Wi that's rabidly opposed to xbows [Rancid Crabtree]and he's managed to become a mod on an xbow forum. Another is an Oh resident but is a "governor" in MBH [Mi Bowhunters] that joined the ACF awhile back so he could pump DJH for info. This one uses his real name, Terry Williams. He trolls xbow forums looking for negatives like the 600 fps Mantis hyperbole, too long of range shots, ect. Gonna be an interesting year, lol. Keep the faith!

Being new to the crossbow and hunting world I have no idea why people are against xbow. To me it makes no sense. If I couldn't xbow hunt, I would just rifle, shotgun, muzzleload or bow hunt. Makes no difference to me. Sure the xbow was easier for me to learn than a bow, but if I had no previous experience with firearms and rifles, it may have required a lot more practice to get to the level I am at now. What is the beef the none xbow people have with xbow hunting? It is completely beyond me.

A big yes vote from me. I just hope Alberta allows xbow hunting as my wife is being posted there next year. Does anyone know if it is legal there? Or will I have to drive to Manitoba?
Take it easy.
