Moose Hunt

Post by schnarrfuss »

Well, it's time to start packing the truck. We leave in a few hours for area 18B moose hunting. Not looking forward to the 13 hour drive though!!!
Good luck to all come Oct. 1st. Will be back by Oct. 3 or 4th.

The drive wasn't bad. You'll be there in no time.

13 hours nothing to it. WE too go about 16 hours. It's a little boring but good friends and tunes make it go buy.

Sounds like a good time! :D

Best of luck ... hope ya get a big 'un! 8)

As for the 13 hour drive, nothing to it! I do that at least eight times a year.

After all, we're just sitting there!

Don't think so much about the destination. Live in the moment, and enjoy the trip. You only get to live one life. :D

So....how was your hunt. I was up in Timmins last weekend for grouse. The most birds I have seen in my many years of hunting up there. Moose does not open in Timmins until tomorrow though.

Up to Timmins a second time this fall on the weekend. We shot 50 grouse before I left on Monday. Saw a black fox for the first time, saw thw biggest lynx I have ever seen, and helped trap a few beaver. No moose though. The rest of the boys are getting out of the bush tonight. Waiting to see if I have a few steaks coming my way. One way or another I feel very lucky to be that far north twice in the fall.

Sorry guy's, forgot to post a reply on this thread. Been busy deer hunting. Didn't get no moose, or even see one. Had rain and snow all week and windy. Only seen a few fresh tracks and a few grouse also. The area was just sprayed in the summer, so that didn't help. Still had a good time though.
