Post by taxman »

I JUST INSTALLED A sts system on my exocet. the holes for the sts meant that the groundpounder mount had to come off. now i cant even use my excal quiver either. am i SOL or is there another option?

I guess getting longer bolts that goes through both the STS and GP-mount should solve it.

I made my STS System using LimbSaver split limb dampners(old round type). Made steel L brackets and used the bolts that held my GP mount. Less than $10.00 and a hr of time invested.

i'm gonna look at drilling out the threads on the STS blocks and run longer bolts through them into ground pounders mount using a thin layer of rubber between the sts blocks and riser to hold in postion....soon as mount gets here i'll have pictures of my set up........bob

Or you can get slightly longer bolts bolting in your STS system. Then screw my posts onto the bolt tight. Then bolt on my top plate onto the posts. War Paint has commented on mounting his this way and it worked fine for him. The other suggestions made will also work but requiring slight modification.

I did what Groundpounder suggested. Just got longer screws (2" stainless steel) and used a Sharpie to take the brightness off. I love this setup. The whole setup does add weight to the bow but the balance is perfect.

If you have troubles with the STS moving around, a small dab of Shoe Goo will take care of that.
