Stringsling?

I searched the archives for an hour before posting and did not see a mention of this product:

Click on crossbow sling.
Looks kind of cumbersome.

I've seen this before, but, never tried it. My reasoning is this . . .the crossbow is cumbersome in itself. Adding that sling to it would add to the issue. It's hard enough to move between trees and through brush without that thing hanging over your shoulder, eh? In my head, it looks like it would be in the way more times than it would help.

Hmmm.... not so sure about the sling, I just wanted to welcome you to the forum! Lots of great folks with a wealth of knowledge found nowhere else.

I use one of those slings when hunting with my vertical bow.

Had to go have a look, first thing that jumped out at me was the guy in the picture is standing in a tree-stand with no harness. Leads me to think it is just a gimmick made by a guy behind a desk, not a hunter.
Hopefully though he sells enough of these things to afford the binoculars he is lacking in the same picture.

I have a similar one made by a company called Allen. It is about half the price of the one on the link.
I just spent 4 days walking around the forest and mountains around Cadomin, and was glad to have it. You can just let go and it carries well, with no hands. It is a bit cumbersome but really helps. Without it, you pretty much need both hands to carry the bow, with it, you have at least one hand free to move branches or catch your balance. It also allows you to bring your bow to shooting position quickly.

I to feel it would be a little awkward. Mine has a Bow/gun sling, works not bad but need to hold xbow in hand when in bush to be at ready anyway.
