My first Bear with my Excalibur Exomax (Video)
I thought I would share this video with all. I was up in Sultan, Ontario for a week hunting. We stayed at Wakami Lake Provincial Park.
After 4 days of trying to 'spot and stalk' bear I gave up and went to see the local outfitter, Wakami Lake Outfitters in Sultan, ON.
Dean, the co-owner set me up for a three day hunt over an active bait. Well, that afternoon Dean drove me to his stand. I got in the stand at 3PM and by 5:15 I was watching this big bear (ave. 325lbs) walk on in to the bait.
The video shows the hunt. No recreations. I mounted my little Canon picture camera with video on the end of my Exomax. There's a third clip which I have not uploaded as of yet.
Any way I was pretty excited so a lot of what I say on video might not make sense.
This is my Facebook page. If you can't view the video there's pics there from the trip which are viewable without an account.
Enjoy

Sorry guys, I'll upload to You Tube and post link here.
For those that did see the video, the shot was 23 yards according to the range finder.
I mounted the camera using a 1/4" standard thread bolt (3 inches) through one of the two holes (where the STS system would attach). Thread the camera on, and once the camera is pointed forward use a wing nut (as a jam nut. Wing nut goes on before the camera) to keep the camera from moving around on the threads.....If that made sense.

Sorry for the delay. I uploaded the video with the recovery to YouTube. He's the link. Hope it works.
I look a little stressed during the recovery of the bear.
Fantastic hunt!
