When it's all said and done we elected the Commander in Chief to "jawbone" (his term) folks when problems appear on the horizon. He didn't have a problem going to the people - and therefore getting congress to go along - when he wanted to start a war in order to stimulate the economy...among other things; like showing dad that he's The Man. Whey didn't he jawbone anyone when he saw the looming economic crisis?
It's the role of politics it seems for one party to blame the other. For example, Democrats have always been big spenders, right? Everyone know that. Well, uner Regan's 8 years spending increased 18.13%. Under H.W Buch's 4 years it increased 8.44%. Under Slick Willy's 8 yrs it went up 5.25% and under the Dubya's 7+ years it went up 47.98% (and rising rapidly).
In summary, during Republicans 20 years in office, spending increased 73.98%, compared to 5.25% during Democrats eight years.
You're right, must be the liberal press that caused all that overspending.
