The evolution of a Boo string.
Next week I am heading off with Enormous for my first multi-day hunt, I realized my current Boo string may be at the end of it's life at well over 2000 shots, in the rain, snow and heat it still looks like the day I got it. But today I am preparing for a new hunt and that required a new string.
I dug into my ammo safe, a bag in the corner holds all the strings I have received from Don since he began to make these things for us, I had to decide which one would reside on my bow for one of the most anticipated hunts I could imagine.
First I brought out the Dacron, I have almost 30 of them, every color, serving style and finished ends a guy could hope for. I held each one and reminisced on when they showed up for me. None will see my bow for this hunt though, all works of art but there were more to see.
Next I brought out the FFF's, I have such cool colors of that variation of strings, it was tempting to strap one to my bow for the 4 days of hunting ahead of me. It was tempting, they were always my favorite, fast smooth and reliable as the day is long. It took me a long time to convince Don to make FFF strings, he was very attached to the Dacron for the noise value we all enjoy from his current strings, but he managed to find it in his heart to make me some, those too sit in my safe far from a place they can be fondled by those with less than admirable taste.
Then, when I was at a loss as to what to put on my bow for this hunt I seen the new run of strings, hanging beside my bow in all it's beauty was a brand spanking new 40 strand string, all whiskered up and gleaming at me like a soldier ready for battle.
That string is now under the full tension of my bow, ready to hunt with me on one of the most anticipated hunts of my life, I trust it as much as the man who made it, and when I release my arrow the spirit of that man will be with that string and the deer that falls behind it.
using his own words, life is good. Indeed Don, it is.
Thanks for the hunting help and most of all for being a friend.

Thank you for the kind words David. You do reap what you sow in this case. You and quite a few others are held quite close to my heart and when close or far away I really enjoy your company! If it weren't for this forum my life would not be as rich is it is now.
