Ive been off and on for a few days with the flu, but this one was taken on Oct 28th in the windy conditions. 45mph gusts!! A day you wouldnt expect deer to move. The day I actaullly got sick from being out in that wind! Ive seen this buck a few times and even have one of his sheds from when he was a 1.5 year old. He's no monstor but a decent buck for Va and where Im hunting anyway. He came in at 5:40pm to the can call. Actaully come running in right under the stand and stopped so it was a straight down shot at 4 yards! He dropped and didnt go 5 ft. I scored him at 155B&C Va system and 136B&C under the US one. He only has a 16inch spread, but tall 11.5 inch G2's look awesome. I dubbed him skyscraper. 9 scorable pts :D He looks bigger in the picture then in person.

Im scoring him as a buck kill for Va(40pts)

I still havent gotten my voice back fully... Yesterday was the worst day.

Jay, I'd say maybe 3.5-4.5. He's a mature deer for up here.

4 yards was a little to close also:) straight down through the middle of the shoulder blades. Couldnt ask for a better shot placement of all the vitals. He was so pumped when he ran in, thinking a hot doe was there he never had a clue. Also I think the buck bomb may have helped also since he came downwind from that. But once he heard the can call you could hear him running through the stream to get to it

Thanks to everyone else also.... my guess is some biggins should fall for everyone else on here next week 8) :D goodluck and btw if you ever doubt hunting in high winds, think twice about those deep creek bottoms and hillsides out of the wind
