My Sons First buck First year hunting

Post by spitfire125 »

Went out this morning seen nothing rattled a few times no response, Rattled at 9am ten minutes later heard son over in his stand baw at what seemed to be a deer heard the shot from the Vixen, The buck ran by me at 15 yrds and dropped dead behind me at 30 yrds. Got down out my stand met my son on the walking path to congradulate him on his first kill. He tells me the story .......... He fell asleep woke up and amazingly enough , this deer stood 25 yard quarting away from him , reached for his bow and shot the deer at 30 and took out the heart.I am a very proud dad!

Congrats to your son.

Another oxford county buck this week

The shotgun hunt is looking to be very busy this next week with the amount of movement I have seen & heard about around here.
