Kudos to Excalibur Customer Service

Post by hillbillyreefer »

I'm new to the xbow world. My research told me Excalibur makes a quality product, and has unmatched customer service, and as an added bonus is a Canadian company. So I picked up a Vortex. The bow was partially assembled at the store, I was supplied with the box of other goodies to take home and finish setting her up. When I got home the two screws that hold the quiver on were missing, no big deal, I go down to the shop and look around. Can't find any that will work. So I go back to the house and call Excalibur. The person on the other end of the phone was more than apologetic, didn't ask any questions about serial numbers, date of purchase or anything else. She asked my address and said the screws would be sent out that day. Pretty hard to beat that. In a couple days they were here.

I'm pleased with the bow. It shoots better than my expectations right out of the box. Splintered a bolt with another in the first 6 shots. My first animal was a grouse at 32 yds.

I think I'm hooked on crossbows. Rifle season opened up this morning, but on my way to the field this morning the bow was beside me!!

Thanks Excalibur.

Welcome, excals. customer service cant be beat.I had a bur on the left latch of my xbow that cut the serving and string, the local pro shop called and excal. delivered. They sent me a new string no questions asked.I could see them not questioning a hardware issue but a string, for all they knew I might have shot this thing a thousand times,by the way check your latch and the serving where the latch hits. The string they sent me has a different type of serving whitch is holding up very well. Now thats service.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!!

VixChix figured it out Alberta. East central Alberta to be more specific.

As for other things to hunt. I did take it moose/elk hunting last week. Never saw an elk. Was with a buddy when he got his moose, but the moose was a bit too far into the brush for a confident shot. He did ask me if I wanted the shot though.

This months hunting is for Whitetails and mulies. Lots of opportunities to hunt, lots of tags, now if anyone knows how to keep my 2 year old hunting partner quiet in a blind we'll be set. I've also just started calling coyotes, been able to get 2 within 100yds but none less than 40 yards for a confident shot.

Good luck to everyone with this seasons hunts!
