Update on Kelly (Saxman's Daughter)

Post by raydaughety »

I just got another email from Scott with an update on Kelly's condition and the extent of her injuries. She is out of surgery and is in ICU at Cape Fear Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She has a shattered pelvis, 4 broken ribs (at least) a broken shoulder and her spleen was ruptured and had to be removed. Kelly remains on a ventilator as her body tries to heal itself. I know that all of Scott's friends here on the forum hold a special place in their hearts for Scott and keep him in our daily prayers due to his health. I know that my family and I do. I know that those of you that have heard about this tragic accident are praying for Kelly's quick recovery and are praying for Scott as he once again faces another trial in his life. It must be eating him alive not to be able to be at her side right now. I will keep you all posted as I hear from Scott and if anyone would like to send a card, or flowers or something else to Kelly, send me a PM. Again, this forum is so much more than a place to post a picture of our harvests. It's an extended family full of wonderful friend that have helped me hold it together through some pretty difficult times. So please, don't forget to pray for Kelly as well as Scott and the rest of the family as she starts healing from her injuries. Grizz, I'm sending you a PM. God Bless you all.
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Kelly has been taken to surgery again to relieve the swelling of her brain due to her skull being fractured.
More broken bones are being found possably her back is broken.
She is in a coma and has not been consious since the impact.
She is on full life support the prognosis is not good.

The boy who was driving the car(also in the army) WAS DRUNK
He recieved and DUI and failure to yield tickett and has a broken arm he is resting comfortably at home.

I am trying to keep my faith and not lash out at this young man
I was young and stupid once, now I'm old and stupid.
Please pray for him as well.

He may need it!!!!!!

I have been told to stay home as I cant be trusted to behave as an adult but will behave as a father.Kelly is my Stepdaughter I have raised her for 18 of her 22 years. Her biological father has had little to do with her but has been contacted in case decisions need to be made as I am leagaly unable to make them.

If you have teenage kids or young adult children please let them read this and make them understand the dangers of drinking and driving and of a deviant lifestyle in general.

This can happen to anyone in an instant.

Either I or Ray will keep you informed.
Thank you all for your continued prayers,we need them.

Saxman: I don't write much on the forum, but I do read it as often as possible.
I have no words to express my deepest sympathies to YOU & Your family at this time. I can only hope that your "DAUGHTER" makes a full recoverey, from these very serious injuries.

I am a professional driver (Highway coach & School bus charters). I am amazed at the number of people that still drink & drive. It is just not worth having one drink as things can happen in the blink of an eye.

Your luck has to change soon with what you are going through with your health issues.

I took the oppertunity to sit my three daughters down that are at home 20,17 and 12 and have a SERIOUS talk about the dangers of drinking, driving, drugs, sex and others.
I know they will be faced with choices and decisions and they were told to CALL ME when you get into situations where they or someone else is under the influance.

I am just heartbroken and walking back and forth.I want to lash out but at what? at whom?

There are somethings we cant fight,I wish it were that easy.

Thanks for all the support.
