Kelly's doing better
Good morning all. I was greeted with some good news on Kelly's condition this morning from Scott. Here's what he had to say:
I just talked to Karen
The night nurse let her stay in the room with Kelly
They are decreasing the meds every 2 hours (he coma is now medicaly induced) and Kelly is waking up,her eyes are as they should be
She can respond to verbal commands except is very weak on her left side. She cant talk, she has a tube in her throat.
She is wiggling toes and squeezing fingers and moving eyes as directed.
When asked if she was in pain she squeezed twice for BAD PAIN.
Pain is her friend at this point.
After these tests she is put back under so she can rest.
This is great news..
GOD IS GOOD
Scott is very grateful for all the prayers and support that you all have shown. Let's continue to pray for our dear friend and his family as they endure the uncertainty and pain of this trying time.

Ray, I read your post through tears. I'm relieved to hear that things are going as well as they are at this point. We will keep praying for Kelly, for Sax and for the whole family. They still have a long hard road ahead. Please let Sax know we'll travel this road with him.

Still praying for her recovery and will continue to include her in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm sure Sax needs our prayers, too. I can only try to imagine what he's going through. To stand by helplessly and have to only watch and trust in her caretakers, and God, must be a very difficult test of his faith. I'm sure he will survive it, and I hope he can find some benefit from this ordeal.
