Buck down (finally!)

Post by korey99 »

I'm offically out of tags....hope I can still purchase another, or at the least convince my buddies to share theirs!

Just got back from taking care of this guy. Been seeing a few deer around this property on the few trips I've taken there, but nothing to shoot. It's the same area my buddy shot his 8 point earlier this year, so it's a spot that's producing.

Went home and grabbed the little guy to help me, and experience his first "hunt". He enjoyed himself, although it ended up being a lot more work for me! In a few more years, the plan is for ME to carry the flashlight, and HIM carry the deer.......

He's a solid 8 point with decent mass. Really heavy body though, and his neck is pretty thick.

Thanks.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!
Looks like even if he (your helper) can't drag the deer, he's happy and not complaining.

WELL DONE! How old is your boy? My son is 6 and his mother will not let him come out to the feild to help dad with the deer, even though he wants to in the worst way.
