My first buck! (New picture added)

Post by TYE »

I shot a 10 point buck on the last morning of shotgun season! My first buck with gun or bow.

Though it's not huge, it is my first and I think I would like to have it mounted. My friends dad does mounts and my buddy had his dad to his buck and it looks great, he told me $400 for a mount. How's that sound? I've never had a mount done.

Good job Tye. $400 is the going rate, depending on your plaque.

No luck with the Xbow this season?

Congrats Tye!! He's a nice buck. If the quality is there than that is a good price.

Thanks Chris.

Well his son's buck looks amazing, so I'm sure I wouldn't be disappointed. 400 is discounted price for me I think, because I know his son.

:) Congrats on your buck Tye .That price is about the norm ,some are higher and some lower .With taxidermy you get what you pay .I`ve seen some very bad mounts where the buck looked like it was crossed with a frog with the bugged out eyes . :)
