Another 2 for the slick tricks.
Both were does and the one my son shot was at 20 yards and went 40 yards.
Mine was an 8 yard shot through the spine and through one lung.
Dropped on the spot. Zero recovery.

Alas, my brother's harvest.

I'll start another thread with pics.

Another Sonic to add

Post by Michael Stogre »

Add another sonic head to the total. Actually it is my total of two.
I was using a sonic 125 grain head. Took a button buck in 2006 with my phoenix crossbow. It went about 40 yards.

re broadhead harvest stats ---

Post by bob-s »

Hi Sumner:

Used a 145 grain 4 blade 1 1/8 in. Muzzy on GT-2 22 inch in Equinox x bow on a midsized muley buck. Steep quartering away ground level 20 yard shot, arrow exited just behind shoulder. Deer ran off about 60-70 yards, totally dead on my walking up. Not much of blood trail on browned out grass, hit high on the animal. Entrance and exit hole did impress me though.

Bob.

Scott,
You must have missed my post, but you can add another one for the Wac'Em broadheads.
Not so short of recovery this time, though - 80 yards.

took one with a crimson talon 100gr 5 yd shot not the greatest shot angle as he was almost under me. Straight down through one lung and arrow really spiralled through him 80 yard retreival
next one was with a 100 gr sonic, double lung broadside 40 yds and dropped in tracks

I like this thread. Would be good to see some stats for turkey hunters with the xbow's.

Took two deer with Wasp Boss'.

1st shot was 13yards, approx. 80 yard recovery.

2nd shot was a deuce and not the best placement. Thought the buck was at 22 yards, but he was close to 30 yards. Ended up with a 2 hour track.. may be 300yards (estimated).
