A few questions:
What if anything do you use to remove scent from your crossbow. I was once told to use peroxide. What do you use to remove wax from the rail.

Nothing.
I wipe the screws & bolts with a good rust preventing lube, and wipe the rail with the same (sheepskin pad) to get the excess wax off the rail and keep it lubed. (The pad is saturated with a beeswax/neetsfoot oil mixture, plus what RemOil and WD-40 I have wiped off guns with it. )
I figure my cigar provides enough cover scent to keep them from smelling the bow.

your best bet is to keep the rail claen and dry with no wax on it at all .the wax will just gather dust and dirt and couse wear on the rail and the string DUTCH
