I BLAME BILL AND EXCALIBUR FOR THIS.....
For making a fantanstic product that works under some very tough conditions!!!!!!!!!!!!
I nailed this old boy with an 18 yard shot. He came in just before dark, I took the shot and watched him fall after a 20 yard run. Total distance from the stand was 30 yards for recovery. He would have been a real nice 11 point but he was a fighting deer. His left side g2 was snapped off, his right brow was broken and he had a forked brow on the left that both tines were busted off.
The best part is I worked like a dog to get this deer. He is not the biggest one I have seen this year but he is a nice old Ontario whitetail that was harvested with a quick kill about an hour from where my bow was manufactured.
To get to where I used my climbing stand, I had to walk for 15 minutes through a dirty swamp, breaking through ice, busting through brush, over wet rocks and just plain old dirty swampland. Nice getting there knowing your bow is going to do it's job when the time comes.
Thanks Excalibur! keep building em!

Thanks guys.
Mike P, you are 100% correct. I have seen some bigger critters on my farm this year but the amount of work that went into this deer was the most effort I have ever put into hunting. Last night when I was having a beer and cigar with the boys, I was feeling very satisfied and quite pleased with the results of so many hours of washing my clothes, spraying my boots, playing the wind, trimming lanes, scouting, shooting my bow etc...
buzz, when I first got the deer I did not realize how big he was. It wasn't until we tried to put him in the truck that I knew he was more of brute. Guessing live weight was in the upper 200's. Maybe the 275 give or take. Not sure but he has a big body and large neck. He has burned off a fair amount fat in the rut though. Pretty lean, almost no fat on him. Maybe I need to go on "the buck diet". Spend a few weeks just chasing the honeys around.
