Excal Accuracy...?

Post by subneural »

I know Excal crossbows are supposed to be the best. I didn't realize that they also grant their users super-human aiming ability  I spent my lunch hour sighting in my new Phoenix on the 20yd range. You can see from the pattern in the top target that I had to tweak the POI down and to the left.

Here's my last grouping, all shot from the standing position at the 20yd line, without using a rest or bench:

Looks like Excaliburs *are* simply the best.

:D Try aiming at the same spot with the second arrow :D
Of course you only do that once for after that it gets expensive

Yes I'm right handed. I'm not kidding when I say that Excalibur crossbows impart their users with incredible aiming! There is no way I would ever manage a grouping like that with any other firearm, unless I was using a bench or shooting from prone...

Taking any projectile, and propelling it by any means necessary, to an intended point of impact is quite gratifing---I started off with rocks many years ago and still smile when my rock, dart, bolt, arrow, bullet, marble, steel shot, slug, bb or stick hits what i am aiming at. :?
