Southern Attack Sniper maxed out

This deer I killed on the 15th of November when it was 80 degrees. It rained all day and cleared up that evening, when I went out, but I still got caught in a downpour. After it was all said and done this guy came up through there. Last year that deer was an eight pointer. He looked like he had two pitchforks sticking out of his head. It still wasn't a foot wide spread on it. This year he was a nine pointer and still hasn't reached a foot. 170 grain snuffer, 10 yard shot through the backbone. Zero recovery.

This one I was hunting over a honeysuckle patch. Some does and fauns came in and were feeding hard, and then he showed up, pushing everything out of his way and wanting to take it all. He was having his way until he got the shaft. Broadside shot, twenty yards, but he still ran fifty very quickly. 170 grain snuffer, and he's an eight point, just under an eighteen inch spread. This is the one that I will score for the team, and now I'm done. I've maxed out.

Awesome job Wes! Those are some fine deer. I'm not sure you are maxed out though. You are always welcome to come take a few down in south Louisiana if you can ever make it down here...

BTW, nice looking Cougar!

Congrats on both bucks! When you come down to the bayous, just load up the stands you have in the boxes.( You have yet used, and might not need now) I'm sure we can find a tree to support with them!

prices went up to 350 for me this year to get mine done.. was 300 last year. I guessing im addicted to mounting deer like women buy shoes. Its just something about having all those memories on the wall year by year...

both those deer were very good for Va bucks! Seems Va killed some fine deer this year 8)
