My wife and I will be spending Jan/Feb/March of 2009 in the Largo area of Florida.Was wondering if anyone had information on hunting in the area with crossbow re:type of game;cost for licence and being a non resident what are the requirements? She does not hunt.
Any information would be appreciated.

Go to www.MyFWC.com and click on hunting. You can buy non-resident 10 day or full season license on line. The 10 day is about $50 and the season is $150. There is a SHORT, 5 day, crossbow season that ended on October 10 in the South Zone. Florida is divided into 3 Zones. General Gun (rifle) is the only season open and it ends on January 4. Hope this helps.
