We had to put our Black Lab Rosie down this Afternoon. Her Hips were gone and she never got up the last 4 Days.
I brought her Home As a Christmas Present for my Twin Daughters 13 years ago next week. They were 6 at the time and thought sure Santa had left her here. They took it really hard as they raised her from a pup but it was time to let her go and they knew it.
We brought Her Home and Buried her in our back Yard.
She was a Great Dog and will be Sadly Missed.
It is never an easy thing to do..... The hardest part is when you come home for the first time and they are no longer there to greet you. That is when it really hits home.
Mans best friend. Definately!!
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

Very Sad.
I hate when that time comes. Two times for me so far.
When the time comes for my latest Yellow Lab, it will almost kill me I'm sure. My thoughts are with you and your Family now.
Remember the Good times, especially at this time of year.

So sorry to hear about your loss of Rosie, Golden Eagle! Losing a pet is like losing a family member. Heartbreaking.
