I just got a Phoenix a couple weeks ago and just got the extras to get it stringed and shooting. I have a few starter questions.
When I first strung the bow I had zero twist and it was above the high line. Now after a few shots it is below and still stretching. What is the best brace height and why?
What is the weight of my firebolts and what board head weights works best for balance with the firebolt?
I have read some stuff about quieting these down. I have read about the STS and some other stuff. What are the first couple of things and best couple things to do?
Is the Boo string a Flemish string? Where can I get more info on them? I have read different things, but have not found a link or anything.
How much wax do you use on your serving on these? I have seen some stuff about deck wax and read to only wax the string and not rail. Do you wax the serving heavily or just to fill between the serving wraps?
Any help will be appreciated and I am sure I will have a few more questions when I get shooting more.
Xbow?

first keep the string between the two lines on the rail ten wax the string a far bit till it gets a good coat at firs wax it after every shooting secion . the arrows that come with the bow are good with 100g or 150 g a lot of guys have went to the 150 to increase the foc forward weight . try to keep the wax off the rail a creidet card works for this as itwill colect dirt and such you may have to twist the string to shorten it after 50 to 75 shots if it goes past the bottom line .i would star with 150 g head enjoy shooting your new toy DUTCH

Lots of guys like to keep the brace height at 1 and 1/8" from the riser, it is a good compromise of speed and vibration. The more your string creeps the closer to the riser it gets, increasing the speed as well as vibration.
Flemish is a way a string maker finishes the string, it is not about material, you are thinking Fast Flyte. Works like a steel cable in the event of a dry fire. Dacron is a good one to get started with, much safer during the learning stages.
I never wax my serving, my last one made it just over 1500 shots before I had to change it.

If you are not willing to learn, nobody can help you, if you are willing, nobody can stop you.

firebolts are 275grains roughly without any head on them... 100 grain heads will shoot great, 125 will probably give you would best FOC and flight. 150 will fly great also....
keep in mind that every 25grains you go up, its about 5-7fps you lose. I shoot 100grain heads on the old firebolts I worked and they fly great. But a 125 would would be about perfect
just wax the serving and not the rail.. I wax mine after every 25 shots or if I see string wear before that
boo probably makes the best strings out there... serving life is doubled with his strings
Just pm BOO here.. he's not taking string orders this month since he's trying to get caught up on past orders. They are worth the wait!

I will go with my favorite broad head the three blade muzzy 100 for a start. The arrow will be over the minimum weight. I will look at a new string after the first of the year when Boo slows down. I like quiet more than speed when I have to choose so I will probably look at the STS.
Thanks for the info.
