Hi all,
Just curious what people do for storing their bow in the off season.
I read a thread that showed people oiled their bow to prevent rusting, but that seemed to be the normal thing.
Anyone remove strings or dissapator bars?
I've removed my strings but I'm still wondering if I should take off the dissapator bars.
Thoughts?
Thanks all.

You definitely need to remove the dissapater pads. That is most easily done with the crossbow cocked.

Mine gets shot significantly more in the off season than in does during hunting season. No rest for my bow, none.

take the pads off before you take the string off. If not, it will damage those pads causing them to flatten out or rip quicker.
but I just take off my string, pads, and oil any metalish parts. Its not a whole lot you can do, but those simple things help bow life years from now

I have a post coming up regarding my November to remember.
Might put the bows back to together when my brother in laws come over in the coming weeks for some friendly bets in the backyard but I'd like to know the process now since I have time on my hands while my skulls boil out back.
