Happy new Year!

Post by Pydpiper »

My family and I usually go to my best friends, he has lots of stuff to keep kids and adults well entertained.
This year I am sick, feels like a sack of potatoes on my lungs, so we just may stay home, the kids are determined to have a massive bonfire in the snow and celebrate where we love to spend out time, outdoors.
I have a feeling I wont be a lot of fun no matter where I am. :D

What are your plans? Be safe and enjoy.

My wife & I will just be hanging around home drinking beer/wine, soak in the hottub a bit & maybe have a small bonfire.

We have not done a whole lot in the past 10 years or so as it is much cheaper & safer to stay home.

The kids will probably be out with their friends so a nice quiet evening & probably be in bed by 11  Do not know when the last time I was awake to welcome the New Year in.

Stay safe & Happy New Year.

Same to you David and Jen. Hope to see you soon.
Happy New Year!!!

We are staying in because I can barely walk after a bigtime trip in the woods last night. I'll rest up for the big night.

We're still kicking around the flu here so we're not planning anything. Will be happy with a bowl of popcorn and a few DVDs tonight.

Happy New Year everyone! Here's hoping that 2009 is a good one for all of us!

Well, currently, our options are:

1. Last 2008 evening deer hunt & hopefully tenderloins for supper.

2. Having another couple over to eat finger foods and play Wii.

3. Going to the Outback Steakhouse (@ Nag's Head) & catching a movie.

Whatever we do, I'm sure we'll have a good time! :D

Y'all have a Happy New Year's Eve! 8) 8)

I'll be having a quiet evening at home with the family and some neighbors.

All the best in the New Year! May your mornings be filled with sights like this:

For the last 8+ years we have 3 other families come to our home for homemade pizza ,homemade cinnamon buns, game of cards and this all before midnight. We start at 6 and the evening might finish by 5am. We have a blast. This year we only have 2 youngsters in the bunch. The older kids come for my wife's pizza and cinnamon buns and then leave for their evening fun   One year we actually had 3 games of Shanghia, but generally we get in 2. Lots of talking and laughing goes on. No Booze just all good fun. I asked my wife ,if I am a "good boy", if she would make cinnamon buns for the 3D meet and shoot and she said maybe if I am good.
Happy New Years everyone, and God be with you all as we go into another year of happy memories in the field and with family.
