Bob, it always tickles me to read your [actually all] posts on getting your HBM. You seem to consistently be the first recipient each issue.

This tells me that as soon as my local Post Office gets done reading mine, I'll get it.

I haven't got mine yet but I'm gone lately more than home.
This is my busy season but as of tonight it come to a screeching halt.

There is a hunting magazine down here called Woods N Water,it is sold at convenience store and by subscription.
I submitted some pictures and stories to them and they gave me a full page spread.
I hope this is good press for the crossbow.
They messed up the order of kills and also said I used a compound bow on one.
Don't know where they got that from but I will scan it and post it later.
They have a website but the Jan issue is not up yet.

Dear HBM Members - Our editorial and art staff really appreciate the kind words shared by you all. Remember, it is our members that help to make this magazine so timely and entertaining. We have a kaleidoscope of interesting characters and personalities on our membership roster and these are the true stars of the Horizontal Bowhunter Magazine. We thank you all for what you contribute, whether it is a regular column, an occasional article, a personal photograph or just a regular membership every year or two. We would not be steadily growing were it not for each and every one of our members, regardless of the size of your participation. We are thankful for everything you do and very appreciative of you all.
It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you are not!

You spoiled it for me Bob. I was just getting ready to add:
"there's also a picture of Bob Stout with a nice buck in this edition"

There's a picture of my smiling face with my 2003 crossbow buck in this issue with the incorrect caption underneath. When I first noticed it I had a minor panic attack that lasted about 1/3 of a second.

Just like you said Sax, no biggie! :D

When putting a magazine together of this magnitude, there's going to be some mistakes.

All in all, DJH does a super fine job with Horizontal Bowhunter Magazine in my opinion.
Thats two magazines with the wrong pictures or the wrong order.
I have to assume that the mistake is mine on these articles.

I think they do a great job also
