DADS HOME HE POSTED ON PAGE 5 YEE HAA!!!!!

Had to rush dad to the hospital monday morning couldnt breath. They had him on steroids and antibiotics and it seemed he was getting better till this morning. He had a breathing treatment and then he started coughing real bad which made it very hard for him to breath. His lung doctor came in and said that one lung and part of the other one was not doing good if any body doesnt know, dad has copd which is a bad lung diease. well they gave him more steroids and about an hour and a half ago it hit him real bad again they had to take him to icu pumping him full of a stronger steroid and stronger antibiotics went to see him and they told us that hes doing better but very tired and that we should just go home and rest so now im just here praying for him. SO PLEASE PRAY FOR GARY L (DAD) RIGHT NOW HE NEEDS IT>

UPDATE
Just got back from seeing dad hes doing a little better but not much. One lung and half the other are gone there not working so he only has a half of lung to breath on which is not good. They have a machine hooked to him it looks like a pig snout that covers his nose and its pushing the air in to help him breath. He told me that when that attack hit him last night that he thought he was going he was very scared. So going back at 1 to see him you can only visit at every 4 hours for 20 minutes so he can get his rest thats how the icu is so will keep u updated.

Went to see dad again at 1 and he had another attack so they didnt want us back there they had to put him back on the machine. Im really scared i dont think hes gonna make it out of the hospital this time :cry: :cry:Going back at 5 to see if i can see him then.
UPDATE 1/9
Went and seen dad today and he looked and sounded alot better. They changed up some of his breathing meds and hes breathing a little better. He was up and talking and getting ready to eat. He wanted me to tell every one of you guys and gals THANKS A BUNCH for keeping him in your prayers you really dont know how much that ment to him i tell him everyday about you guys he cant wait to get on here and thank you him self. The doctor said if he dont have any more problems that they will move him out of icu in a couple days and back to a standard room and if he does good there a couple days he will be able to come home he will have that bipap machine to force the air in if he starts haveing problems at home. He still cant really do anything cause his breathing but if he gets to come home that makes us happy.

UPDATE 1/12
Dads doing much better they took him out of icu saturday. Hes got an infection in his lungs when thats all cleared up they will release him to come home. He will have one of those bipap machines at home when he gets there so if he has trouble breathing that will force the air in for him. THANKS TO EVERY BODY FOR THERE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS THEY REALLY HELPED ALOT. Dad cant wait to get out of there hes got his laptop but he cant get online they wont give him the password!!

Besides prayers Gary also needs to have the "evil eye" removed. As I recall I saw a post stating how it was so great to see Gary posting again, meaning that he was doing must better. That was like a jinx... So in my prayers, I'll ask that the "evil eye" be removed.
