I wish I was closer. I would be glad to lend a dog to the effort. Never underestimate how much of a game changer a good nose can be. Put a good dog within a few hundred yards downwind and he'll walk you to him with his head in the air. Its a beautiful thing.

Good luck with the recovery.

Following the story closely and hoping for the best!

I believe Mike's farm is located somewhere in the county I live in and the weather isn't looking too good.
I would be glad to help if you need it, but unfortunately I don't know your farm location or have any contact info, and time is running short for me to be able to offer my help. (tomorrow is a work day :( )

Right now we're getting a very fine snow here at my home, but so far it isn't enough coverage to completely hide a downed deer. Every bit adds to the dificulty of seeing/finding a dead deer, though. I hope the same snow isn't falling where you are as it will add to the difficulty of the search.

Boy, you've got that right, Duckhunt ... that's why I had asked Mike about the legality of dogs! Maybe it's illegal to use them in Ohio. :?:

Sure hope y'all find 'im, Mike! :D
