although excalibur makes the best bows in the world a compound crossbow wouldn't interest me because i enjoy not needing a bow press to do anything i need to on my bow such as changing strings

Did they not make one a few years back, with another company? I could be WAY wrong, my memory is crappy at best but I thought they did. And no, I would not buy it. I bought an excalibur because of the limbs it had. I love being able the change a string or limb in the feild. I guess im just a "simple" man! even as some are becoming faster than excalibur, I am a true diehard fan of the recurve limbs.

Sorry, new guy must have posted as I was writing. The paradox is ecal's compound croosbow, yes/no?

And I was told that they did it only to break into the American market, because that is what the majority used. Again, dont know if its is true. by the looks of thing here, quite a few Americans enjoy recurve crossbows.

I would like to stress that I am not against compound crossbow, just would not personally buy one.

would I buy one if they made it.. YES.. but I dont see the need for one. As said above, excal has the recurve limbs for a reason. I bought this because you can take the strings off and on without that press. I like the compound models, but I dont think excal really needs to go that route. Horton and others have that covered LOL

I voted yes,if not for me then for someone else who may be wanting a compound crossbow and and Excalibur at the same time, bring more folks into the family.
I would look into one but I would still keep my recurve excal's
I know that if they made one it would be quality and a narrower bow would be nice sometimes.

I doubt I would buy one for myself but there is no doubt that the market is there, and if excal did make one I am sure the quality would be top notch so the folks that like a compound style crossbow would be interested in it. M&M

I love my exocet 200 for a few reasons... simplicity of changing your string in the field, accuracy, quality workmanship etc...
The ONLY reason I would consider a compound would be if the overall width of limbs were shorter. The recurve limbs are a bugger at times when walking in thick bush or in a tight tree stand. So I guess my answer would be "yes" I would, but unless my exocet 200 breaks in half - I have very little need to replace it.
