Hi Chris : deepest sympathies, I do understand .. my gramps was the one to teach me all of that also... I invite him on my hunt when I go .. he and my son are with me in the quiet and cool mixed light of the forest or when the scents of the woodland is all I can know while I wait for sunrise in the dark, still end of night...
as long as you think of them and speak their name they are not completely gone; and you are never alone.
I like to think of it as they are off ahead on the trail somewhere .. making camp and waiting till I arrive to share the stories and smiles once more.. and they want me to know they are just fine and they want me to be fine too...
that helps me.. truly
