New xbow and member

Post by bassboater »

Well i got the new equinox for xmas. (actually shortly after) It only took me under 10 shots to zero it in with the new veriscope. Since ive been hunting its mainly fiber on my sights. Alot of bow hunting and some gun.
1st hunt out Jan 17th. Our season ends here Jan 30. It was bitter cold and ofcourse didn't see a thing. I went to shoot out the bolt, and popped 3 strands on the string. I found this upsetting as it has only been shot maybe 15 times. How ever a fast email to excaliber and he replied Monday to send him my address and he'd mail me another one. Very pleasent experience. I have an old xbow from my dad who passed away in 01. Right after hunting season. We hunted the last time with his xbow. It has served me well over the years.
So all in all this is to say Hey and we are looking for a nice deer to start off the new bow :)

welcome to the forum! You cant beat excal's service!

One thing to invest in over time will be a well built Boo string. He's a member here and he makes top notch strings for these bows! With the equinox, it will go through strings faster than the lighter model bows. You have the flagship of the lineup for speed and power.. some say its overkill, but I like knowing I have more than enough to do the job:-P

goodluck up there in MD.. our season ended about 18 days ago here in Va

thx for the welcome. How much is the boo string and what are the benefits?
Not sure of speed yet. I still am using the stock bolts it shipped with but went to 100 gr b'heads, instead of the 150 they ship with. I like speed thats why i got the 225 @ 350
