New convert's impressions; lifetime archer w/worn eyes and shoulder. Researched and decided on this brand. Bought the Exomax on Cabela's web sale; didn't need all the power but had gift certificates and liked the traditional stock. Tried to string; couldn't and gave up before one of us ended up with a broken limb.
Bought the double pulley assist, scope mount, bolts and rigged a stringer; clamped on an old scope off the Feinwerkbau. Noisy, but this contraption will really shoot. Akin to the slow locktime of a muzzleloader. The scope's reticle works out fairly close to being on at twenty yards w/top duplex and on at forty w/bottom when zeroed at thirty with Ten Point bolts I was given for birthday. I'm slowly getting at ease carrying around so much stored energy held by a string and can ocassionaly follow the bolt visually to target when conditions are right.
I also bought Eastman 2219's. This bolt is slightly heavier but shoots dead on at fifty yards with the bottom duplex hold. It has a higher flight course than the lighter shaft. Nifty, different arrows for different ranges; but not practical for hunting. As a matter of curiosity, can anyone explain why the heavier bolt flies higher. Points and fletches are the same, though the Eastman's do have the moon nock, which I'm concientious to align until I can pick up some inserts to replace them. Anyway, I'm having fun and getting a workout walking to retrieve bolts all over the farm.
Will try to post some of this season's critter pics if I can learn how. I enjoy the forum and its variety. Thanks to all for contributing to my education.

Welcome to the forum arakum!!
As for your question, you answered it your self, "This bolt is slightly heavier but shoots dead on at fifty yards with the bottom duplex hold. It has a higher flight course than the lighter shaft. Being heavier you half to hold higher to hit the same as what the LIGHTER, FASTER shaft shoots.

First welcomed to the forum.
Regarding your question: The 2219 hits higher, because its larger in diameter than a 2216. Therefore since, with a crossbow, the arrow sits in the channel of the rail, a thicker arrow sits higher and the string contacts it slightly below center, which launches it at a slightly highter arc, changing the point of impact. The same phenomenon would occur if you where to use a 2216 with a thinner string.
