Well it’s that time of year again, sitting around bored because deer season is now over and having more time on my hands than I know what to do with. So… yesterday while cleaning up around my desk I found several large pieces of scrap leather that I had forgotten about and thought that I might try and make a side quiver for my crossbow bolts. I never have liked having the arrow holder on any of my bows because it always seemed to be in the way and added more weight to my bow that I wanted to deal with.
This was my first attempt at making a quiver so don’t laugh too hard but here is the end results.

Looks good to me i would wear it you did a great job. What did you use to hold the bolts in at the top nearst the feathers?

wildwindom - I found several small brass screws and nuts in my junk drawer ( I'm a pack rat and never throw anything away)and drilled holes in the sides and then locked them down with loc-tite to keep them from coming apart. The section they are in is doubled anyway so I drilled the back hole out just enough for the nut to fit flush in the back so that the screw or the nut wouldn't stick out in the rear causing it to hang or tear my leafy camo.

The arrow holder at top is an old detachable quiver that I had laying around from one of my old bows. I cut it off about half way and sanded it flat to lay flat against the leather. I then attached it to the back part of the body of the quiver by drilling three small holes and using the brass screws attached it to the rear. Then I epoxied it so that it wouldn't pull loose later on. I then attached the front leather plate and glued it down then attached to two screws in the side to hold it in place.

Nice looking quiver. I used a side quiver when I bow hunted took a bit getting use to but worked great.

Saxman I would like to know the same thing. I found the image on photobucket and liked it. It didn't have any information with it but I would like to have a dozen of them. If I find out I'll let you know.

I did some research and found out that the broadhead picture I have on my profile was made by microtech I have tried my best to find out more but I think that the company may be out of business. Microtech made a broadhead called the tomahawk which may or may not be the one pictured. Still...I sure would like to have a few.

that broad head has what looks to be a super blood letting grove and holes up the center. If it is a good fly-er as a two blade it would sure be a good one.

Two blade for me has a planing problem at times. Things has to be adjusted/set just right!!

They no longer list one, but didn't G-5 Outdoors (maker of the Montec) used to make a 2 blade head?
That sure looks like it might be a G-5 design.
