Nice, then it is time to order one asap. I was just about to make some radical changes to my stock to make it longer, as you might remember from my questions inthis thread

The X-Tender will only fit thumb-hole stocks and newer non-thumb-hole stocks.

From Excal's catalogue:

* OUR NEW TRADITIONAL STOCKS ARE IDENTIFIED BY THE FIVE DIAGONAL
SLASH MARKS LOCATED ON THE FOREND ON EITHER SIDE OF THE TRIGGER

That quote can only be found on the CHEEKPIECE page, not on the X-tender page. There you can read:

The X-TENDER clips onto any of our thumbhole stocks or our new traditional stock* in seconds to securely and quietly increase length of pull by .5, .75, or 1 inch.

So how new is new? The * might mean that your quote is valid, but who knowss...The question still remains... I have mailed excal to ask.

Frell... After checking some pictures from the ATA show I think I understand what people are talking about. I have that metal thingie to connect the sling to. My conclusion is that the x-tender won't fit my bow then. And that makes me quite sad...

Sad that a half a year old bow is to old to add an extender....

Seriously there are no stress... The temperature here is -25°C so I'm not that tempted shooting my bow atm.

Hmm bought a X-tender. Got it yesterday.

It doesn't fit my 2008 Phoenix. So the stock really has to be a new one to make it fit... Looking at it it seems that modifications are not possible to do. Better to build me a X-tender on my own. Too bad...

So any Swede out there that need an X-tender?

I would not try to adapt the X-tender to fit an old stock. Would be alot of more work than making one from scratch. They are also made of plastic, so I guess the adapting would make it alot weaker.

But now I have seen the design. Now I'll make one of oak or something.

I attach some pictures if someone is interested (all clickable).

This is what you get. 3 different lengths. 1/2", 3/4" and 1". You can also see how it is assembled.

This is how far the x-tender is from fitting an 2008 Phoenix (the old stock). You can't get the pieces together at all. The end of the butt seems to be a bit too thick (the material for the screws doen't clear the butt) and the curve of the lower part of the stock is not the same. If you click the 2nd image you'll see 2 small red arrows I made. The upper most points to the area where there seems to bee too much material. It also seems like the butt of the new stocks are maybe 5 mm wider. Second arrow points to the sling screw that can be used to distinguish it as an old stock.

I use the pipe insulation tubing for my cheek piece, going to see what I can do with it as an extender. Hawk
