Question about Goldtip Laser II

Post by theoldarcher »

I am wanting to re-do some of my shafts and put wraps and blazer vanes on a few of them but I am having problems getting the GT Laser wrap that is on them off. Other than spending several hours scraping them off is their an easier way to remove them?

wraps

This is what I use: http://eze-eye.com/ezestrip.htm It takes maybe 15 seconds to strip a bolt or arrow. It will also remove 99% of the glue residue. The groove in the blade makes it more efficient than a regular utility knife blade. Works for me.

I use a utility knife with a roofing blade. Are you sure you have wraps on the bolts?

Walmart should carry it in the household cleaning section...

thats where mine came from.. while your in walmart, go to the household cleaning section and get some of those scrub pads. You want the mild to light grit type roughness so you dont sand the arrow to much. Put some of the liquid goo gone on the pad and wrap around the shaft where the wrap is(after you have razor bladed most of it off).. scrub up and down and in about 10 seconds it should be gone. If you dont have inserts in the arrow, make sure you dont run the scrub pad across the ends of the shaft since it will splinter the carbon fiber

practice makes perfect also at this;) after a few arrows, you will get the hang of it quickly

with that wrap gone, they look much cleaner.. espically when you have other wraps at the end
